Unconfirmed reports are that Ayitireseau.com, site that reports news about the Haitian Music Industry has recently been pressured by Frero from Zenglen and his label to remove a picture and post “Danm Boy” stating the following.

But danm boy!!! why you trying to change the color of your skin? Black is your color. Stick with it. Are you saying you aint proud of your black ancestors or do you beleive that by making your skin a little lighter, it will bring fame and success to what you do?

The post included also a picture of frero.

Ransr has a screenshot from google cache of the deleted post and removed picture. As you notice the picture is missing but I will search around some other mirror sites to find this picture.

I don’t even know where to start. You might recognize this person at first glance or you might have to think about it but i will go ahead and tell you that this is Frero from zenglen who recently came out with his solo album which i praise by the way. It’s a wonderful album, worth purchasing. But we are not here for the album. I just wanna talk about this picture. I got this pic last night off of Frero’s myspace page. Artists, clebrities, stars and them all, however you may title them, are suppose to set example for the present generation and those to come. They are suppose to help them understand the moral values of life with the understanding that times are changing and some time you have to be liberal. But danm boy!!! why you trying to change the color of your skin? Black is your color. Stick with it. Are you saying you aint proud of your black ancestors or do you beleive that by making your skin a little lighter, it will bring fame and success to what you do?

This is not the time of example parents these days want to set for their children.That is straight up messed up. I might be wrong or i might be hallucinating. If i was i wouldn’t be able to write this. Look at the picture (omitting the hand holding the phone) - their is change in skin color starting around the lips and nose. The top part is light then the bottom which is getting darker gradually.

So this is what i want to say on a personal note: Frero si m’ manti. Di m!

Disclosure: For those of you who asked, this post is to point out that Haitian Bloggers are being pressured just like many other international bloggers. Ransr would careless if his skin was blue.

I received just yesterday an email from “thelarad” (by the way who are they?) that explicitly explain the whole development of the bust.
Now here is my question, why is this being sent out to many so late?
I did a little digging and asked around. I quote “The decision was taken after the original post reached 4 pages.” I believe at this moment they deemed it was important news or maybe actually news and decided to release it.
Release it!!! This release was one weird email. I received a forum post in my email, which Google decided to filter as junk. Do we have to do things that bad to even have Google filter us out.
For those of you readers who did not receive the email. Just like a resume, that might be correctly written with excellent spelling it is also recommend that it be printed on premium paper. Otherwise your resume will still be accepted but might not make full impact. Well this was the exact case with this email, Google spam filters decided the presentation was not good enough. It was accepted but yet thrown out automatically. Haiti maybe needs more ransR who will digg out through the junk and find some good things.

As for the bootleggers, keep up the work since the good people of Haiti still did not decide setting up an RIAA like organization or artist still don’t have most of their work copyrighted.
